The EngRish Edition: Loin Crepes

I snapped this photo at my local pizza joint. I visit this place on a weekly basis and while I stick to my usual veggie toppings, there are a few more adventurous options to be had…like ‘loin crepe pizza’! As in – loins: regarded as the source of erotic or procreative power. Err, I’ll be sticking to my usual, thanks!

At least they arranged the “loins” nicely?

Sidenote: In high school I was studying French with a German exchange student. We were reading an old novel and didn’t know a word that translated to English as “loins” … of course, she didn’t know the meaning and it became my job to explain it. We were both blushing and laughing hysterically once she understood. πŸ™‚

      Yes, presentation is key. πŸ˜‰

And that’s a funny story! It’s always so entertaining explaining things like that to someone who speaks another language, but the look on their face once they finally get it is priceless! πŸ˜€

I’ve tried this one… the ‘loins’ are filled with sweet potato – blech.

I haven’t tried the sweet potato pizza yet, but I do find it strange to see potato wedges as toppings…
