The EngRish Edition: Rain Water Is Feeled Kindly

by Audrey on July 11, 2012

The rain day is a beautiful.
Rain water is feeled kindly.
The umbrella is unfolded toward sky.
If it is stopped, rainbow will raise out of clouds.

Engrish: Rain water is feeled

With monsoon season already upon us in Korea, this photo seems very appropriate. There are far too many things wrong with this text, my favourite line being ‘rain water is feeled kindly’ - yes, exactly how I feel about the rain… Though I am yet to experience the torrential downpour which I am told is imminent, I have been caught in the rain without an umbrella a few times now and there is nothing more refreshing to beat the searing heat!

Do you have a funny ‘EngRish’ photo you’d like to share? If so, you can drop me a line here.

It reminds me of a small notebook I always have in my bag, and that I brought back from China. I think the cover says “my heart is drenched in wine”. Never really figured out what it actually meant in the first place!

Monsoon season, already? Wow…

“My heart is drenched in wine” is a lyrics from the Nora Jones song “Don’t Know Why”

Ahh, Engrish! I love it. Audrey seriously – from now until maybe mid-September: umbrella. AT. ALL. TIMES. Mine’s not leaving my bag anytime soon. On the plus side – there’ll be some kick-ass thunderstorms to come! :D
